How does a cap with a back opening work with a bun?

Does the height and size of the bun matter?
Yes. This is the most common reason a bun does not fit. General rules that apply to any cap with an opening:
- Low and mid buns usually sit comfortably in the opening.
- High buns sit above the point where the cap ends at the back, so they can push the cap forward or tilt it.
- Big, voluminous buns need a wider opening or a flexible closure.
- Messy buns are more forgiving than tight, hard buns, because you can shape them to the gap.
